Mr. Bowen is also a ClearDATA Founder.

Mr. Bowen’s session titled, “HIPAA Compliance for Radiologists in a HITECH World,” will address HIPAA changes required by the HITECH Final Rule with specific focus on appropriate policies and best practices for mobile devices, security considerations for encryption, and Security Risk Assessments.

Chris Bowen Bio

Mr. Bowen is a managed services and experienced compliance executive providing privacy and security guidance to large Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), software companies, and healthcare executives across the nation. He is one of 3,355 Certified Information Privacy Professionals in the United States (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and one of only 1,113 worldwide with the CIPP/IT certification.

Prior to founding ClearDATA, he founded DirectClarity, a healthcare application services and cloud information security company. As a founder of ClearDATA Networks, Mr. Bowen shared the vision of providing secure, HIPAA compliant cloud hosting and information security services to the healthcare industry.

He understands how to marry public policy with specific technology and operational requirements. Formerly Chris was actively involved in public policy and politics at the national and state levels. After running congressional campaigns, he later completed his MBA while serving as a top advisor to the Arizona Speaker of the House. While employed by the House he was appointed by the Speaker to represent him on the Arizona Internet Privacy Committee, and subcommittee on voter privacy.
