WHAT:

ClearDATA will be showcasing its innovative, healthcare-exclusive cloud computing platform in booth #307 at the eighth annual Health 2.0 Fall Conference, September 21-24 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California.

The company will be spotlighting three solutions that enable healthcare IT (HIT) technology developers to offload management of the data their customers generate so they can focus on solution development, application management and customer service. The three solutions are: HIPAA-compliant cloud computing and healthcare cloud platform; HIPAA-compliant healthcare cloud managed services; and healthcare data management. Other solutions will also be available for discussion and review.

WHY:

According to research firm IDC, the volume of healthcare data will continue to grow at a rate of 40 percent per year for the next few years. This explosive growth is more than many HIT developers are prepared to handle internally. It is also not their core focus. As a result, they are looking to offload data storage, management and security to the cloud so they can focus on delivering the best functionality in their applications and supporting customers. But that comes with its own set of concerns – not the least of which is whether the cloud provider’s systems are compliant with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements and are managed for the customer. Especially since fines for HIPAA violations can run in the millions of dollars.

ClearDATA’s HIPAA-compliant solutions are designed specifically to solve these issues for HIT providers. Among the benefits are:

  • Provide the highest standards in security and HIPAA compliance to their end users and customers
  • Reduce or eliminate the need to build their own expensive IT infrastructure
  • Increase speed to market with new products
  • Organize, extract and share the data in meaningful ways (analytics, population health, etc.)
